A BIG thank you to Roxie Demers, RN NSWOC WOCC(C) and NOA Board Member, for donating her time at our Ostomy Health Fair last week. Roxie hosted an excellent workshop, explaining how to measure your stoma and demonstrating the use of various appliances. Audience members felt comfortable, asking lots of personal questions to which Roxie responded with expertise, and sometimes even much-appreciated humour. The rest of Roxie’s day was filled with individual appointments. If you can, join us at our Nov 15 Membership Meeting, at 7 pm, Grantham Lions Club, St. Catharines. Roxie will continue the stoma and appliances conversation.
