  1. Love the idea of a Support Group for young adults.
I’d also like to see a presentation/discussion on hints for taking medications. I see it’s being presented in Port Colborne so I’d love to see the same discussion about taking medications at the St Catharines meeting. Thanks so much ! Linda Rahim

  2. Hi Linda
    Thanks for your comments.
The Ostomy Support group at Macmaster has been quite well attended from what I hear. it’s a great avenue for the younger folks to meet with their peers. more information can be found here https://gallery.mailchimp.com/5698f5268ce2783fd6d865d96/files/81ff64a6-0829-480f-88cb-fba19382f99f/2017_18_Meeting_flyer_002_.pdf
We had a Pharmacist speak at our St. Catharines meeting 3 or 4 years ago. We’ll look into getting someone again, but I think our speaker line up is filled for this season.

  3. Our November meeting in St Catharines was well attended, and ET Nurse, Joey Baetz had an amazing presentation! Several people mentioned to me that she was terrific . One thing that I will keep tucked away was her trick using Calamine Lotion to help heal peristomal skin.

Port Colborne meeting saw about 18 people attend. Speaker was Arron Boggio, Pharmacist with Boggio Pharmacies. He did a talk on medications and effects Ileostomy and colostomy can have. He answered a bunch of questions from the floor and had several good recommendations . Thanks Arron!

  4. New website looks great! I will pas on the disability tax info to all our Boggio Pharmacy clients.
    Keep up the good work!
